Yeah, cash would be a bastard! You also have to trust a single person to look after the cash :/ Are you saying you don't trust a single person? Or that you don't trust single people? Does de Facto count?

U will be able to make cash donations...just youll have to go to a bank to do it! If we do it with one of the major banks it will be easy to get to a branch anywhere...

I would suggest not to make things too formal. Also instead of having a "fighting fund" how about having a members only "projects" forum. Someone puts forward a suggestion of something for us to do... such as buy a flag. Put up how much money is needed then people can donate for that item. Countdown how much is being added and stop donating when the amount is reached. If it goes over then transfer the money back.
ING is free and easy.

You'll probably be able to get a kitty together with a fanzine.Heaps of non-members,casuals,kids with family groups etc would buy it as well as us.

As for who controls it, well i was thinking of trying to set up a commitee of 5-8 people who will be the supporters group link to the club...guess they could control the kitty as well. Suggestion on what kind of bank account etc could be used? Or is it easiest just to use some1s already existing account? Neddie Poos, Set up a brand new account and specify that it is a social club for Sydney FC and they will have lower monthly account keeping fee's etc. Maybe you should chat to WB for assistance as the bank may need proof.

Got a place set up for exactly that purpose on Unofficial.com called Banners & flags. A story goes on the front page, a picture and descripton on a webpage. donation and contact details and a running total of whats been collected so far. All in a standard format, easily linked to from any forum discussion. Click here to see a rough eample of what I mean www.sydneyfc-unofficial.com/Content/pid=1.htmlNote: THIS IS NOT A REAL FUND, IT'S BASED ON FLAG FUND DISCUSSIONS, ITS AN EXAMPLE. Previuosly I had nedstaa's name as a contact on this page,I shouldn't have done that, sorry for alarming you mate.

Of course we'd tell people where the money is going...having said that given the shambles that is this forum, people contributing money would have to agree that the people responsible will make the right decisions. Ie. Were not fukin having a vote every time a banner is made!! lol First two projects: Curva Bling Giant parachute banner version of the beer flag (official symbol of the unoficial group )
