The Mariners have signed Tommy Pondeljak and Noel Spencer and have confirmed the singings of Gumprecht and Beauchamp.
They also signed a guy called Gray from Parramatta.
Can any of the Parra boys on this forum tell us about him?

Can any of the Parra boys on this forum tell us about him? newcastle, and the coasties seem to have a decent base of players at the moment. it looks good for them! though, they are still lacking anything new or exciting. as for sydney, i think once a manager comes on board, we should get a few better signings. i would really like to see a few african/asian/ or s.american players line up for us. something different than the old NSL. Colosimo, elrich are still possibles. it would be GREAT if we could snare both. dont know if it will happen, but they are the types of players we need. come on sydnefc, iam getting anxious! sign some decent players already!

I think what they are doing is getting a few players to start with, so they aren't left on the back foot like other clubs might be right now...I also think they might be waiting for the January transfer window, perhaps then some players from Africa, Asia, S. America for example can be contracted....14 players left to sign...we can still create a great team....I'm sure SNSW, david lowy et al will not allow us to be a simply ordinary team. Yes, thats a good point I totaly forgot about that. Although I hope most of the players in the team are from Sydney if not Australia. I dont want to see 6/11 starting players to be from overseas.

Ceccoli and Petrovski will not let you down. Middleby is hot n' cold, bit like Darren Huckerby in the EPL - plenty of pace but that's it!!
All three played together at Wolves in our second championship winning season, in what was an utterly devastating attacking team.

the signings bit average..but i will support SYDNEY FC anyway...they need to go to Africa or South america and sign one or two hig, qaulity technical players...that would be exciting..

You should support them even if they dont sign any glamour players . But getting some good technically gifted players would be great for the flow of play. But we dont have to go overseas, although that wouldnt hurt if it were someone who was really good for a good price. Im all for home-grown talent representing Sydney though. (and stop trying to steal my identity, name & logo just kidding, its abt time I changed my logo anyway)

i think all signings in A League have been poor, all old nsl players, they must get atleast 10-15 players from europe or sth america, the A league is like nsl just a new name

Whats Richard Johnson up to now days? I think he would be a worthwhile signing. Michael Ferrante wouldn't be bad as well.

Exactly.. Look at all the hype the NBL get for the "import" who is nothing but a 3rd player in the states. Yet is big news over here..
