ust read an article on the Melbourne Victory forum saying that the club has confirmed their home kit will be a navy blue with white "V". It wont however be like the old Vic AFL jersey, but rather very similar to Girondins Bordeaux. Lets hope in years to come to see that shirt covered in blood Excellent. Exactly the kit I hoped they would have. The "V" is oh so Rugby League. Awful. Any further ideas what the "V" represents? Vile? Vacuous? Vermin? Vagin..oh never mind.

Why does their crest look like something a Aeroflot airline pilot would have on his coffee stained jacket.
I hate them already.

If i was a Melbourne supporter, id be pleased with the V. Its got symbolism (obviously Victoria) and is unique. As long as they go with Bordeaux style not AFL it will be all good.

I noticed too that Adidas is the kit manufacturer. Hopefully this means that the new league will have proper kit manufacturers and not backyard jobs like Covo and other abominations.

There is a rumour going around that Reebok are outfitting every team, which would SUCKKKK!!! We'd have a generic kit for every team most likely!

Yellow and Red are very good distinctive colours, and look especially good on the terraces (big red and yellow flags and banners). I am assuming we will be playing in some combination of blue though???

I'm rather sure we will play in Blue, along with most of the teams in the A-League is seems.

Yeh thats a bit of a worry. Sydney FC: Blue/Light Blue/Orange?? Melbourne Victory: Navy Blue/White Central Coast: Gold/Blue (lets hope predominantly gold!) Newy: Blue/Red Auclkand: Black Adelaide: Red/Yellow/Blue Queensland Lions: Maroon??? Perth: Purple/Orange
Thats 3/5 teams that will have a predominantly blue strip.

I hate Victoria anyway so at least now I'll have a target for my dislike.. Really dont like the orange. NSW and sydney colours are Royal and Navy blue.

I think there are too many blue-based sides in the comp and Sydney should try something different.
Personally, I think they should play in red and white, as none of the new sides will have this colour combination.
Glory showed you don't have to play in your state colours. Being the same colours as the local footy side is also no big deal (ie Newcastle United and Knights and Glory and Dockers).
I know most of you would hate any association with the Swans, but I still reckon it's better than every second side being some form of blue.
