My thumbs up for aussie. It's easily the best choice. It doesn't turn off the densly populated east.
I will definately go on a friday night to the SFS, and so will all of my mates. If it was at Parra, i'd only go to the odd game. Parra stadium just has this horrible association with Thugby league., in my view.
This is going to be great, and I think we can pull some big crowds. I mean if the spirit could pull 17K on a friday night to nth sydney oval, then sfs could double that, easily, if this comp takes off.

I'm keen on aussie too. I'm not concerned with our initial crowds, i think we will get fairly decent crowds (i.e. in excess of 10k) to begin with. My concern however would be to maintain those crowd numbers throughout the season.

Isnt that stadium to big for a starting club. I'd hate to see it half empty everytime a game is on.

That's really the major issue. The thing is though, Aussie Stadium is deceptive. You get 20,000 in there and it doesnt seam full, but it feels like the crowd is preety good (ala Solomons game) You get 25,000+ and it starts feeling close to packed from what ive experienced.

Yeah, Parra is a ridiculous option. In another 5 years, western sydney could have their own club and then what do you do? The SFS is good. It may start slow, but in a few years, if all goes well, it should sell out.

The New South Wales soccer federation is based in Western Sydney Look I would go to both stadiums. If there is to be another team in Sydney in 5 years, it should be at Penrith. That would serve the Nepean, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains Region.

As long as we stay at the same ground for three years we will still be doing better than Olympic, Belmore,Shark Park, OKI. That was within three years wasn't it?

Guys what about the Showground? ? Bulldogs get in between 15-20k there and there is a great hill area behind the posts !!!!!!! Atmoshere is fine as it travels aroung the ring of the stadium...and its pretty central for east and west....

Right on the freeways and train lines etc. However its round, and a fairly cr@ppy venue IMO. I heard there are plans to build a 30,000 capacity rectangular stadium in that complex in the future, which would be great if Sydney FC end up averaging 20odd thousand in 5 years time.

The Showground is a p1ss poor venue for any code of football.
Trust me, I've been to league matches there and it's pathetic.
