hmmm, think thats pushing it, maybe a training shirt... If we manage to get the mariners to come good on letting us use their shirts, you could maybe use that info as leverage in getting syd fc to do at least the same as their 'dirt poor' opposition club? tell em not to let us 'out do' you guys in the support stakes!

I've already offered to ref, but should that not be necessary, I also manage my local side, so can take up that role should it be needed.
I guess this is something to really discuss next Friday night at the pub, but brilliant idea and definately something I'd be interested in playing a big part in.

A match between supporters is good idea, but people are not going to turn up just for that. So is the other attraction a meet and greet with Mariners players and coach. Then how is the money going to be raised through an admission charge including a BBQ or just a charge for the BBQ or an individual charge for both.

There won't be an 'admission charge' as far as I know, but there will be plenty of opportunities for those who do show up to watch to donate any funds.

if there's need for another overweight unfit 30 yr old count me in. surley the clubs can do more than let us borrow shirts (hopefully after they have been washed) maybe give them a little push to donate some training shirtsfor the occasion. i think if we both push for that angle one of us might get it and then use it as leverage on the other. i think next friday night is going to be a very busy night.

Can't be bothered reading thru 6 pages for the info I want... has a venue been decided? I personally propose somewhere North like Hornsby so that our Marinators buddies can be right where they need to be as soon as they jump off the freeway. Similar story with trains - Hornsby's the first big station from Gosford.
Plus, if we run out of beers at the bbq, there's some pretty nice pubs where it's not too inhabited and we can feel like we own the pub (practically everyone in the pub would either be a Marinator or a Sydney fan).
