I thought we could modify it for Yorke: Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh He's from the Carribean He scores goals for fun Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh Doesn't work. Viera is 3 syllables. Dwight Yorke has only 2 and I can't see a way of extending it to three without making it sound crap. Maybe extending the 'or' in Yorke, but it just doesn't work for me. You've also got one syllable too much in the Carribean section and Senegal rhymes with Arsenal while Carribean doesn't ryhme with fun. Nice try though and it's songs like these that people know from other comps that will make it easier for others to learn.

I thought of one: Arsenal fans have a chant for Vieira which goes along the lines of: Vieira! Whoo-ah-ooh Vieira! Whoo-ah-ooh He come's from Senegal He plays for Arsenal Vieira! Whoo-ah-ooh I thought we could modify it for Yorke: Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh He's from the Carribean He scores goals for fun Dwight Yorke! Whoo-ah-ooh If we are going to use Arsenal chants then how about Dwight York York York Dwight York York York Dwight York York York Extra point if you know which song I ripped off to get that Also this went down well on the weekend - Littbarski! Whoo-ah-ooh Littbarski! Whoo-ah-ooh He comes from Germany He coaches SFC Littbarski! Whoo-ah-ooh

Littbarski one works, but the Ian Wright Wright Wright/Feelin hot hot hot one doesn't fit Dwight Yorke
it'd have to be Dwightie Yorke Yorke Yorke - need two beats in the first word.

We hate Melbourne we hate Perth too We hate Adelaide but, Sydney FC, we love you!
bit cheesy there..but at least its something
Oh my god, oh my god, Sydney Fc in my heart you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone (repeat with steady clap second time around)
another cheesy rip-off of the liverpool one but hey..it doesnt sound too bad..i know alot of chants but they r all in serbian..and converting them would be a waste of time lol i quite like the second one with the clap..works well

I for one will never sing 'you'll never walk alone' at a football ground
I have nothing against Liverpool, to whom the song is linked, but that utterly fake, mawkish, saccharine sentimemtality makes me want to puke.
Now if you want to sing a medly of Kenny Rogers favourites I'm all for it.

I just realised we need some chants for jeering the opposition. Mainly against Melbourne, and mainly against that thug Muscat. Anyone know any good chants we can modify to try and get under that idiot's skin?

Your intent is clearly good, but that doesn't rhyme so well. You've got to make it rhyme! (Carribe-un) And stretching out the Dwiiiiiiight Yorke could have it working, Factor, although clearly the Littbarski one is superior.
