So I went to TWG forums tonight for the first time ever to check it out and am completely underwhelmed. I did see a lot of familiar names though.
Is it just me or is it complete sh*t?
I think I'll just be posting here anyways.

I think I'll just be posting here anyways. Funny old place. 99% is indeed complete shît but there are some pearls sitting amongst the dreck. You just have to know where to look. It is advisable to wear body armour and a helmet before entering however... |

TWG Forum is a good laugh...its not a serious football forum..its a social forum, it has its "cool kids", its bullies, its nerd, its annoying people etc etc,, thers a whole farken social hierarchy in that place...which kinda freaks me out at times!!! lol

It's got a massive cultural problem. Bit of a typo there Hilly. I think you mean kul-chaaaaaahhhral, don't you? The thing that is great about TWGF is also it's downfall. It's an absolute zoo where you can say or do anything - the moderators are the rudest of all. Racism runs rampant and free, flaming is the norm, power blocs clash, trolls, spammers and multis go through the place like canonballs and there are in-jokes everywhere (see above). Although for battle scarred veterans like myself and Hilly, this is second nature, however for noobs this can be very intimidating - which is the origin of the Hill's, "be nice to noobs" campaign. |

I thought I'd stopped being rude.  Look at it at the momemt. NSWPL is reaching a climax, the Euro leagues are reaching a climax, champs league, brasil has started, football all over the world, and no one will talk about it. I'm just beggining to despair really. Hopefully the A-League will turn it around. No prominant local football. If only SBS would show the state leagues... ANd then you post on another forum...Do any of you people realise how hard it is not to be a rude, sarcastic prick when you post else where? |

It's flogged with racial abuse/fights not to forget the other morons that just remain there to annoy and be ignorant. I find it a waste of time, to many small minds with stubborn agenda's is how I would summerise it. Although their are a few genuine posters but you'll look hard to find them in the clutter of shite. |

Like I said before, don't run away from it. If you allow the racial abuse/fighting and ignorance and annoyance to scare you off, then they win. And the sport sure as hell doesn't. It's probably the most easy to find football forum in the country, new and 50:50 fans that find it are hardly going to be impressed are they? Post on it. Complain to the mods about the ills, complain to the admin about the ills. Show that there is people that care about having a good place to disccuss football without having to wade through 2000 years of ethnic relations and trolling.  |
