For the end of the season
Let's say goodbye with a smile, dear, Just for a while, dear, we must part. Don't let the parting upset you, I'll not forget you, sweetheart.
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day. Keep smiling through, just like you always do, 'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.
So will you please say hello to the folks that I know, Tell them I won't be long. They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go, I was singing this song.
After the rain comes the rainbow, You'll see the rain go, never fear, We two can wait for tomorrow, Goodbye to sorrow, my dear.
Phormic can dance down George st ;D

My rationale comes from the Australia vs Iraq. I noticed (and others commented on it) that there was a pretty good atmosphere at that game. For me - sitting up on level 5 - the reason was because there were simple, easy (and yes, boring) chants spreading around the stadium rather than just endless singing staying behind the goals. Parents, kids and "event fans" were all joining in.
Some posts seem they would rather have a segregated crowd at the games a bit of an "us vs them" attitude. I don't know, but that sounds poor to me. If, from the beginning, we try to get the WHOLE stadium involved then we could have the best atmosphere in Australia. Otherwise it will be back to the few hundred fans in one corner doing their thing and other thousands+ not bothering. But, hey, lets see how it goes it will all evolve naturally anyway...

It is all well and good to spend 90% of our time singing the more complicated songs, but it really is stupid and ignorant if we dont try to involve other supporters from the get go. How much could it hurt to try and get a simple sydney chant going around the stadium during crucial moments in the match???

Not sure if there are any other Villa fans on here or if this has been posted before but this is what the Holte End used to sing for Dwight Yorke when he was at Villa.
Starts with everyone sat down and slow hand clap to the tune of New York New York
"Start spreading the news He's playing today He's gonna score a goal again Dwight Yorke, Dwight Yorke
If he can score from there He'll score from anywhere It's up to you Dwight Yorke, Dwight Yorke"
Then everyone gets up and goes nuts to the "da da duda rad dad da da da" if that makes sense...!!!
Then repeat until everyone in the ground is doing it!

Cheers Jambo, that was good. Just looking at some chisel stuff, first things first, don't tell Phorm or he'll sulk and refuse to sing. So they are now...hot hammer songs. Anyways I reckon Saturday night is worth a burl. A lot of Letter to Allen could be good. When it's time for your reflection As you wait till help arrives See our good friend's face on the dashboard And to know you cannot leave that cab alive Do you know I reach for you, from later times Once I knew Once I knew Now I'm walking Now I'm walking in the dark Like bells our dogs are yelling All across Centennial Park And the Sunday morning light just sends me blind And I'm only feeling useless Cause there's nothing I can blame Every person, thing and circumstances That moves this perfect day You've left behind And I'm thinking Christmas 1982 Round this time a year ago Gaskill sold his boat And headed for the Cross to sink a few Never trust a Wayside Chapel crowd On Christmas Eve They must be entertained And if a stranger does the dying That's O.K.! It could be ok in this type of enviroment. I don't know the tune to Breakfast at Sweethearts as I aint that big in my chisel interests, So I don't know...
