As a bit of a continuation of the 'Sydney's best player' thread, which A-League signing so far has impressed you most? Obviously the best is yet to come from most clubs, but at the moment Sydney and Newcastle clearly have the strongest teams in the league As far as publicity and names go Zdrillic is probably number one but for a quality signing I can't go past Jade North-an absolutely quality, versatile young guy who could've easily gone over to Europe. Definately a class signing.

nick carle is by far the best australian talent signed so far. how he isnt in the socceroos team is beyond me... well i do know why he isnbt, but that has to do with farina being a clown. so for me, nick carle!

Yes, Nick Carle for me as well.
Superb technique and ability.
Has a shadow of harry kewell about him without the pommy accent.

Carle is pure class!

no doubt at all nick carle would have been signed by Sydney FC had he waited a little longer......but Sydney FC were not ready and Nick was forced to sign with Newcastle.....also rumours (good source) was that Carle thought Culina was getting the coaching gig at SFC and Carle does not like Culina....Venables was a bigger lure than Culina....ha!

Nick carle is great in all aspects of the game tis a pitty farina cant see this. meanwhile, we are still capping players like sterjoski, and zdrillic would of loved for carle to play for sydney. adds something different to the team.

so true but those players are ok compared to those kids who play in his postion...like john mckain and luke wilkhire there f#*cking shithouse carle plays attacking midfield, and both mckain and wilkshire are defensive mids. i dont really have an issue with these younger players getting a chance to impress. its when we stick with the old guys who have never really cut it at international level, whilst we have guys bursting with talent sitting in the stands.
