i have been to usa and it is a good place however the people have to learn some lessons about helping each other... cause when i was in america we were eating at a mcdonalds and someone past out and we didnt hear anything bout it until the ambulance people came running in to help him.... my mum was really pissed off as she knew first aid and could have helped him... all they do in usa is ring 911 and wait for help they dont help people themselves! were as here we would b there helping them or doing whatever we could to help them! and by the way the person was only about 4 metres from us!!

I dont blame them. If someone decides to help them for e.g. Ya MuM ;D Then she might be liable for offering the person wrong treatment. She will cop a mighty law suit. dammit yankee doodlemeisters!

If his Ya MuM did apply first aid and something went wrong then I don't think she is liable if she only tried treating the person for something that she has been trained in... ie if someone was bitten by a snake and a first aider did exactly as he/she was taught and the victim happens to die then that person is not at fault.... but for instance if a first aider tried putting someones brains back into their skull or tried removing a bullet from a person and something f**ks up then you are liable.... Well thats what they told us in the army anywho. |
