We may have been off to a slow start but after the initial six players ... we have got 4 of the best youngsters ... one of the best defenders in Rudan ... the best goalkeeper ... Stveie Corica ... and ... I heard the Chairman, Walter Bugno say on radio yesterday that we are close to announcing a couple of foreign players, and a few more surprises on the player front ... LETS BRING IT ON !!!!

I agree, things are definately picking up now with Corica and these future stars on board, although realistically I think we'll still hafta bring some classy foreigners, a few slightly bigger aussie names (Hanging out for Colosimo ;D) and maybe a marquee to really pull some decent crowds.
But have I missed something? As far as I know Sydney FC are yet to sign Rudan...

yes, we will certainly need some higher profile players that can capture the fickle Sydney public's eye from the beginning....

Converse your type of attitude is part of the reason, football strugles in Australia.
Knocking it when its down then Knocking it when its on the up!
On the other hand, Yeah we look to be having a great club, good to see ppl getting excited about the club/players.

give him a break, all we have to go on is past success / failures. Being a football fan in australia its hard not to expect the worst. I have the highest hopes for the A-league and especially SFC, I'm definitely gonna be a season ticket holder but considering the track record of australian national football competitions I'm very nervous about what lies ahead for The national competition. fingas crossed, I'm 100% hopeful.

It's going to be a process. Have some patience, take a deep breath and give it a chance.
It's obvious the people running the competition have big plans for it and it also should be obvious that can't happen over night. Even if our first season is mostly ex-NSL players, the step they've taken is certainly in the right direction.
Have some faith ;D

With a 1.5 million salary cap........it's sounds like there' s value for money being purchased. Quality football is on it way!
