OK People Penalty Shoot-Outs.... Once again a premier tournament, the FA Cup, has been decided by spot kicks. At what point do we stop this farcicle way to decide major games and come up with a better solution. As a player that has missed penalties to knock my team out of a finals series and score the winning penalty in a Grand Final, I know the emotions first hand, if only at a lower league level. What are peoples thoughts on a solution to get a final result on the playing field and not resort to ridiculous ways. Cheers VV TEXT

its not as if the players don't know whats gonna happen if its a draw, and after 2 hours and no goal scored well then what else do ya do. Man u had countless chances to win the game and they couldn't, at the end of the day you only need one shot taken, one shot on target and one shot in the back of goal to win, man u had quite a few that were on target but the Arsenal defence / goal keeper was there to stop it, theres 2 parts to football, 1)scoring goals 2) stopping your opponent scoaring goals when both are done successfully by both teams for 2hours of play then a result has to be found another way, its a fair way of doing it, even if it detracts from the true flow of the game that went before, Man U should of won the game in the 2 hours that they were playing but they didn't, and they can only blame themselves for letting it go to a shootout. I don't like to see big games decided by shootout, but at the end of the day thats what will happen if there is a need to separate a locked up result. Its a part of the game, its not new, everyone knows it and it gets a result when the normal method has failed to do so.
