Its a good signing, he's a quality player and thats what we need - quality. But I'm hoping for some bigger name then he's, but its also good to see Aussies comming back to Aus and that they are excited about it overseas.

SBS did a great story on the Corica signing...good solid publicity..wont set the place alight but if Club brings some overseas players and a few more Socceroos then i think that we may just have the makings of a really great team and Club

Don't get me wrong, Corica looks to be a decent signing, but he'd be the worst marquee player imaginable. From what I hear he's a pretty decent sort of play with plenty of experience, but there's nothing marquee about him :PI'd imagine he'd be earing something around the $100,000 a year mark and no more?

Weeks ago Sydney FC had no players or coaches....today we have 7 players announced and an assistant coach that most other clubs would have as their head coach...so far so good...i am intrigued as to whats next.

Guys this is a great signing. I would take Corica over Gumprecht or Pondeljak any day. I have a mate who works in the restaurant at Walsall FC and he told me Corica was their best player for the first-half of last season. The only reason he was forced to leave was because Merson plays in the same position and as he's manager ... well you can guess the rest!
Chippy is right. Corica can play in the middle, up front or out wide.
It looks like we're onto stage two. The first was getting the locals. Now we're getting the class like Corica. The third stage will be the imports.
If Corica is an example of stage 2, imagine what they have in store for us at stage 3!

(and a coach) the rest arent special, and as there is so many players out there, i just dont see the rush to sign average players.

Deffinately a good signing, but not a great signing. Ive never rated Corica, he wont be a star but a decent experienced squad player.
