As I have been overseas for almost 2 months now, I am a bit behind on the things going on over there - apologies. Today I learnt about the sydneyfc-unoffical.com website and went and had a look; a great site! Congratulations, and many thanks must go out to the creator for providing us fans with a professional-looking arena to converse in.
When I created this site, I always intended it to be a temporary forum. Now that a better site has come along, if people prefer to make the switch, I will close down this forum on a yet to be determined date, so that we can all make the transition together; something which I have always seen as being inevitable.
Please take the opportunity to vote in this poll, and leave any comments if you wish. I will leave it up to you guys to decide. In the meantime, I have registered on the new forum under the username SFC2 and will follow the conversation in there as well as in here.
Regards, SFC

I have grown used to these forums but am fully prepared to make the move over to the new forums. We could keep these forums around for a while but just lock them up yeh? Big props to SFC who took the first step in creating these forums though. They have been an absolute success mate.

I've held off comenting on this basically because I have a bit of a vested interest in the other one.
But what are the cost factors? Is there any real reason why we can't have the two forums?

I'm all for consolidating onto jubals site, the google ads will fund some of the fans account, plus the fact it looks better and is a more wholistic site rather than just a message board. I don't really understand why anyone would have a gripe about moving but am happy to listen.

I know that some people have been hesitant to make the switch (i am NOT one of them) and if we close this down it could leave them disenchanted.

My problem with having two forums is really just a complete lack of time. I don't have the time to sit on two SFC forums that are populated by virtually the same group of people but discusses different things on different forums.
I don't care which forum gets used, as long as it's one or the other.
The Unofficial site is well put together and offers alot. Much of what it can offer will not become apparent to many until the season draws nearer and when the real planning starts to happen.
Of the options above, I vote for the first, but would be happy with either this or the new one, as long as there is only one.

I disagree Factor...we should encourage people to the other site but as long as it isnt costing the admin of this site too much money, we should keep this one running. What happens if for whatever reason people have a run in with Jubal? Not saying this will happen, just saying its good to leave our options open...

What if someone has a run in with SFC for whatever reason?? lol
Having two forums would blow man... It's trouble enough having so many different forum sections let alone two whole different forums.

I think its a good idea to have this forum continue, if nothing else as an alternative/fallback should anything happen, temporarily or permanantly to the SFCU site.
