Aussie Stadium will also give the bumpkin opposition fans a thrill when they visit our fair city.
After all they've seen it on TV so often, now they get to visit it to see their team played off its pristeen surface.

I'd rather 15 000 at Aussie Stadium
then 25,000 at Telstra Stadium.
It looks miserable when you see the Rugby League teams playing out at Telstra on a Friday night and all you see is blue empty seats.

Let's see. SFS: WOrld Class 40000 seat world class stadium Leichhardt Oval: Extremly dodgy pos suburban ground, with feck all facilities and a hostile council. Two condemed stands. Let me think about it a minute.

While I will be attending as many Sydney matches as possible when the new League begins, I do feel that Aussie is a tad too large for soccer at present. I believe it is always better to pack a smaller Stadium with good facilities than a larger one. I attended the matches up at Gosford and was impressed with the matches I saw. However, I wasn't very impressed with the turn out. A 10000 strong crowd is good for the Central Coast given the population and a class stadium which holds 25000. Its not too bad. But 10000 in Sydney, given the population is very poor. There won't be any atmosphere in a large stadium because it is only 1/4 full. And remember the teams also feed of the support of their supporters. I'm not slagging the proposal, just voicing a concern. I'm as excited about the A-League and Sydney FC as the next person. I just think a smaller stadium like Parramatta would have been better suited at least at the beginning.
Anyway, hope to see you at Sydney's first game against Melbourne in August. Cheers Damien

When it was first decided that Aussie Stadium was to be our home I was a bit worried taht we would not be able to fill it. Even getting 15 - 20k each week would be a dissapointment. What many of us arent realising is the potential of Football in this country especially Sydney. We should be able to get 20 k to each game quite easily if the standard is high and the club seems professional to supporters. A few big name players and a 1 team each town policy should by rights see Sydney FC fans in 5 or so years fighting for tickets to watch a match at the SFS........I hope. ;D

Firstly I think Aussie Stadium is the best choice for the next 5-10 years. It's great for football games and in a location that says the club is for everyone.
Considering crowd figures for the first 3 season I wouldnt expect anything above 10 k. After that is a different story but in that respect perhaps a smaller size stadium is optimum, but for now Aussie is the best choice.

Hopefully they will redevelop St George Stadium. Only 10mins away from Aussie so no a bad spot. Parking should be ok there considering the amount of land they have. Very true, its a classic stadium. The only complaint I have is that I tend to soil my dacks when one of those pesky Boeing 747's whizz overhead at fifty meters, causing the ground to shake from the monstrous noise from its four engines. I just hope that one of the planes never has to ditch a take-off and come crashing through onto the pitch like a Manchester United chartered plane, Munich 1958-style.

Aussie Stadium. It's a no-brainer, nowhere else has as good transport for as many people.
Trains/buses from north, south and west all lead there and it's near the most densely populated parts of Sydney.
I think it's wrong to assume that Aussie Stadium will be vastly oversized for the crowds we can get.

I think SFS is ok for the moment, if we don't get big crowds we can always move to a smaller stadium. But i think for football to be succesful you have to be optimistic and by playing games at Olympic Park/Telstra Dome, Suncorp and SFS, you are showing the the Australian sporting public that we are no longer going to be second class citizens. By playing at Perry Park, Bob Jane or St George, your just saying we are happy being below the other Football codes.

If it wasn't at SFS. I wouldnt be interested in supporting them. Not that I live near SFS, Parramatta would be much, much easier for me, but it shows that they are giving it a go in Sydneys best Football stadium. Its that no compromise attitude I like in SFC
