Fark off! The Bling is forever.
Hopefully after a year or two The Cove will officially become Curva Bling.
It works so well....

I'm afraid the horse has already bolted. If SBS, Walter Bugno, every single neutral I have spoken to, rival teams and the Sun Herald all refer to the team as "Bling FC" or a variation thereof, then there's probably not a single thing you can do about it.
We didn't choose the name. The name has been given to us. Do you honestly think it's any more ridiculous than the "Toffees", "Trotters", "Cottagers", "Baggies", "Tractor Boys", "Biscuitmen", "Hatters" or "Shrimpers"? Honestly, do you? Bling in my opinion fits in with that list very well if "what they do overseas" is so important to you.
The Ipswich example is almost exactly the same. "Tractor Boys" was an insult that they took and ran with. How is this any different?

since they say we are the glamour club then Bling is good for me so wat if its a lil immature to some ppl its only like a nickname and nicknames are suposed to be fun not serious to bore ppl.

I say we keep it our 'underground' nick name. But lets not invovle it in anything official. I predict it'll die out after some time, but lets ride the wave for now. I have no problem seeing Bling banners etc but as long as its just a non-official thing I'll be glad.
Go The Bling !

YES we should change it. We are becoming more and more like USA everyday - no sense of irony or sarcasm! We should be called the "non-offensive non-ethnic middle of the road relaxed and comfortable PC FC"

Its only a game and a name. You can go and sit in bay 69 at the other end of the stadium. Isnt it wierd that the people who are anti-bling are those who have not many posts! Dammit

Matthew Hall in the Sun Herald today - "Finally we have Bling FC, a local team we can all relate to."

I don't believe that's what he's saying at all champ. Relax. What he's saying is that many of those opposed to the name haven't been around for as long as others, may not know the background to the name and hence the reasons behind many of us enjoying the use of the name.
