Hey just wanted to know so far who you think is our best player offcourse not counting yorke as he is yet to play for us. For me since our first game ever a match against Manly United i thought David Carney i never knew him b4 the match but after that game i thought he was our best and till now hes my favourite and i think our best player.Whos your fav? p.s.Clint Bolton is also mad but its hard to pick ur keeper as ur best player but hes gotta be the best in the A-League for me.

Based on actuall performance, it's got to be Bolton, he's been virtually flawless in every game, hasn't conceded a goal to an A-League opponent (Perth's was an own goal so it doesn't count) and has proved that he knows how to organize the back 4 and still do his own job.
A great striker will win you games, but a great goalie will win you league titles. never underestimate how much a good keeper can improve the confidence of a team and let them get on with their own role.
Carney is very skilled and is on a scoring run, but as other people have pointed out, he has a tendency to fade out of games and become anonymous for long periods.

Ive been very impressed but sasho petroski. I considered him the 3rd choice striker when he was signed, but now, i would have him in my starting line up.
Another stand out player has been milligan.

Milligan's looking good. He was a little slow to start, but his performance in the CWC playoffs was outstanding. He cut down virtually every run on his flank, and really runs at players when he's in possession. And that bloke can throw! Lucas Neill better watch his back I reckon.

Carney has been playing well but the most consistent is Bolton from all the games.

He was one of my (many ) favourites at Parra Power. Having so far only being able to watch last week's game against Picton/Wollongong/Illawarra/Whatever, Corica looks impressive! How's he been in the other games? he certainly exceeded my own expectations.

Sasho, Carney, Bolton, Ufuk has done well in central midfield as well.

I think Milligan is a bit of a heartbreaker player. He will have some ripper games and make some poor poor errors I think i.e. red cards, tough tackles that kind of stuff. But hey, I think Litti's game plan will be all about tough defenders.

Although Corica has had limited game time, I think he's been all class on the rare occasions when he has taken the field.
And despite Carney's long spells of anonymity, Sydney owe alot to his sometimes brilliant attacking flair. He looks a real find-and a quality investment for the future.Love that Scouse/Aussie accent too ;D
Milligan and Petrovski have both suprised as well, but I think ultimately (and in a way it is a bit of an injustice) Saso will still have to give up his starting berth for All night Dwight come the first of july

I've been impressed so far with the match fitness of all the Sydney players. The whole team's been able to last the distance while maintaining pace and sharpness. It's a good start, and I hope their skills and maturity build as they gain experience.

All I've seen is the Final, but Bolton was outstanding.
A bit hard to tell just yet, but I'm sure the class will stand up when the A-League kicks off in August.

Carney is obviously the form player, but i believe that a team is all about their middle line. For us: Bolton, Rudan, Corica, Zdrillic.
