Did anyone read the bit about Richard Gough potentially being considered as coach ... good pedigree as a player (better than Crook) ... could be interesting versus the locals.

sorry fellow sydney follower...havent heard of him...can you update us about his past experiences and teams etc. I can't believe you haven't heard of him! I'm not sure if I want our team to be his first coasching job. We would be the guinea pigs and if he is no good we are stuffed now aren't we. I would prefer someone with some coaching experience.

They need to get a experienced international coach like Sir Bobby Robson or Gerrad Houllier... They still have a few years left in them...also you need a young up and coming aussie coach to be his assisntant.....so we have the aussie coach with the things he learnt from to take the reigns when they leave...

Bernd Stange took on the unenviable job of taking Iraq's national team in the lead up to the Olympics. Left perth after being overlooked for Mich D'avray. Although word is, he has left Iraq's national post due to the volatile conditions over there. Not exactly sure where he is now

But was able to get out of the country?? He's alive and well and back in Germany. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him back in the country, I'm pretty sure he has Australian citizenship too.
