I was just wondering if anyone had heard any reliable news regarding The Colloseum's playing future in the A-League (fingers crossed)? As I mentioned previously-I believe this guy is a class act-A well known player approaching his prime with plenty of Socceroos caps to his name - capable of playing in central midfield or accross the backline. With Sydney FC yet to sign a player he would be an excellent cornerstone to build a side from and probably wouldn't warrent a marquee pricetag.
I read a while back that many A-League teams were ranking him and Milicic as their number one targets. So with Milicic now looking to be off the market, who's heard anything about Simon's future?

Basically every club in the league has spoken to him. I think he is weighing up all the offers before he makes a decision. He is in a win situation with so many clubs after him. He'd be silly not to wait and take up the best offer.

I doubt that Perth has spoken to him - he was told by Nick Tana that he would never be welcome back at the club after he walked out on us for better money at Parramatta.

I doubt that he will be returning to Australia. As we all remember, it was only a bureaucratic blunder that prevented him from a multi-million dollar transfer across to Zurich.
Granted, it did break down but eventually another decent European club will sign him on.

Simon Colosimo will come back to his hometown of Melbourne!!!!! If that is where he has grown up then unfortunately I think he would go to MV. Would like Sydney FC to sign him though.

i heard that he wants the same kind of deal as Milicic who was signed for a record australian contract (SBS last sunday) by Newcastle ... surely Sydney can't justify that for colosimo or milicic ... he is no marquee player ... bring on the south americans

to be honest...simon is a good player...but not a great player...i thought he was ordinary for Parramatta Power...and was ordinary against the solomons...but he would be a good aussie signing...and he is socceroo material...keep updating the progress...

if he was such a good player...then why isnt he in england or any other top leauge...i think he was too slow in the soloman island games...but he needs time to prove himself to me...and maybe he loooked good to you for parramatta power because the qaulity of the NSL wasnt up to internationl standards....

Would like Sydney FC to sign him though. must say that if i was player seeking a contract in the a-league i'd be looking to sydney as a club. one major plus you have up there is if you don't get signed by sydney there's a chance that you may be picked up by newcastle or central coast.
