If you are intending on arriving at the stadium by boat and are anticipating a "distressing" situation then by all means bring flares. If you rock up to the stadium like any other punter and pop a flare anywhere near me I will personally shove it up your clacker. Rightly or wrongly they have been deemed to be "dangerous" and are banned within the stadium. Popping one will unfortunately just add fuel to the fire that Ray Chesterton et al are constantly building to discredit the game in this country. So do us a favour and leave your flares at home ok? Besides they went out of fashion in the 70's despite a piss poor reprisal in the 90s ;D If you really feel the need to pop a flare at a sporting event do it at an NRL match where no one will notice

The flares thing has been done and dusted on this forum.
Dont shoot the game you support in the foot and leave them on the boat.
You'll get more attention if you ever need it on the boat too ;D

The only circumstance where "poppin' a coupla' flares" would be justified is if the Central Coast Stadium begins sinking into the Pacific, which I'd say would be a little unlikely.

Cool. If any Sydney fans brings flares then thats it for me, I will wait until the next Football league in Australia starts up. Its obvious some peoples minds here are still back in the NSL.
The Flares at the Australia V Solomon Islands game stopped me from being involved in the GGArmy (I don't care if the flares are green). I am hoping to follow a Sydney Football team that actually represents Sydney, Australia. If I want flares I can go follow Sydney Olympic.
I guess having a mainstream taste in sport makes me a bit of an outsider on this forum.
