The game last Weds when Utd beat APIA by the required 3 goals with the very last kick of the game was the best for atmosphere and excitement that I have ever been to in Australia, even though there were only about 500 people there - it went off! And forget about the riots, they were just media beat ups. The game on Wednesday should NEVER of been held on Wednesday night. Further strong proof that Soccer NSW are idiots, have absolutely no idea and are nothing short of being a disgrace. In every football competition across the world, all clubs play in the final round of normal competition at the same time ON THE SAME DAY. Why then did all clubs play on Sunday. Olympic defeated Bonnyrigg 4 - 2 and Sydney United KNEW EXACTLY that they must win by 3 goal margin as they played APIA the following Wednesday........still shaking my head... PS why was there 7 minutes of extra time (with United scoring in the final second....

If we are going to be an ethnic team we may aswell have ethnics in the team But you're not an ethnic team. You're Sydney United. That's why they dropped the ethnically based names. I realise the majority of supporters have maintained the ethnic links to the Clubs, but for support to increase for the State Competitions, that kind of attitude needs to disappear, or nothing will change.

I agree the game should have been played when all the others were - that was soccer NSW's stuff up because Sydney Utd should never have been thrown out of the comp. There were 7 minutes of injury time because APIA were wasting time all through the second half, even though they were 2 - 0 down!

He's not a syd utd supporter so reword your argument Sydney United/Sydney Olympic/Does it Really Matter? The argument is still the same.

i dont like tis global village malakies. By us all being apart of a "global village" my culture is urs meaning that we are all the same a tower of babel if u want to call it meaning eventually there is gonna be a massive fight. oh and yeh im a wog ;D as about nearly every single person on these forums knows and i have to admit im more of a south melbourne supporter than sydney olympic supporter only because im dissapointed by the lack of greeks in the team. If we are going to be an ethnic team we may aswell have ethnics in the team Man you sound like one of those old greek men who know little about Football! You have got one hand Stroking It and the other one eating a souvlaki sizzle.

I was an Olympic fan back in the NSL days. Haven't really followed them since, too far away. If I were to follow a PL team it'd be APIA - my local team, plus my uncle used to play for them back in the day.

Ad Utd sat Feb 4, Victory v. NZ Knights sat Feb 4, Qld Roar v. CC Mariners and sun Feb 5, Newcastle v. Perth Glory obviously foxtel are having a big say in the scheduling of fixtures but hopefully the FFA rectify this situation because it'll give an unfair advantage to some clubs.

The FFA won't change the round. It'll stay as is. Finally, we get a chance to see domestic football live on television. Why would the FFA want to change that, even if it does give a small advantage to some Clubs. We'll have wrapped it up long before then anyway!
