Haha
I copped alot of crap because of him when I was staying with some people in france. Every day they would bring up the game in which muscat took out and broke one of their players legs, which stopped that player from playing in the world cup. That is what happened right??
Me being half maltese didn't help either...

Haha Me being half maltese didn't help either... Matto, both my parents are maltese. If Muscat comes to SydneyFC then we may as well play at Parramatta Stadium as he will be ripping up the grass at SFS.

Well we were all wondering what "name" would come to bring in the "fans". He is well know to the part time fans who only know the socceroos. So it might bring a few more through the gate. For the 1st game at least before he is red carded out of the season..

I think European clubs value someone with a reputation like Muscat, and I can't see why the A league would want him at all. That is why he is the skipper of his club. The latest knews on Muscat is that he has head butted the opposition goalkeeper in an off-field incident and got red carded. I think Sydney would be crazy to go after him as he would be an expensive purchase for his level of talent.

www3.sbs.com.au/home/index.php3?id=52745Meanwhile, the Victory is dismayed by Sydney FC's bid to lure Socceroos defender Kevin Muscat as its 'marquee' player. The Victorian club has made no secret of the fact that it believes the Millwall defender would make an ideal captain. "We have no idea what Sydney is doing but Kevin Muscat is the kind of character we're looking to sign," Victory football operations manager Gary Cole told the Herald Sun. "We know he's still contracted at Millwall and we haven't spoken to him directly but we'll get a much clearer picture after we have a coffee with his manager." I have no probs with signing the hardman at all , but not as a marquee player ! no f**king way .......

with all the other international names being thrown around by the media, it would be kind of a let down if we get muscat as a marquee player.
He may offer leadership qualities and GREAT hacking abililties, but really, would he draw the crowds? i think the answer there is no.
