I used to live near Mark Gasnier and I slapped him a few times across the cheek because he called me and my brother a greasy Wog. That was when I was taller than him and he was about 12.

Oks, I'm self centred and arrogant, so most of Australia likes SOO doesn't wash with me. After all, we keep voting howard in SOO used to be about getting the best players playing against each other, representing two states, NSW and QLD. To an extent it does that. However, the concept was born in the semi-profesional era when simply being with better players created better football. Since full time profesionalism the qualitive difference between SOO and club league has diminished. I used to watch it for the football, then I watched for Roy and HG. Last year I stopped watching 20mins into game 3. I won't bother anymore, even for Roy and HG. The quality was crud, loose balls, prayer passing, what seemed to me to be aalack of creativity... League has suffered from profesionalism imo and as it is a watered/dumbed down version of union to start with... But now I just see SOO as taking players away from their clubs in order to paly a game between NSW and QLD. Who gives a f**k?

What's a State of Origin ? I heard it had something to do with sticking ones head near the rear of another player ?? =o (Union is the real rugby)

After all, we keep voting howard in Id rather have John Howard in charge as opposed to Mark Latham (by the way what has happened to him these days?? Nothing about him anymore) or Kim Beasley. What has John Howard done that you disagree with sooo much? I believe everything that he has done has been the right decision thus far and I feel alot better knowing that he is in charge over the rest of the bloody wankers

I don't know, here's a a short list of things that he or his government have done;
Saying that children were thrown overboard, when they weren't and then lying to the Australian public when someone pointed out that the Navy told him that this was untrue.
Deporting Aussie citizens overseas - it wouldn't of happened if that woman was white would it? Now there's another person mentioned in today's paper (concidentally was born in China but is an Aussie citizen).
Almost deporting Cornelia Roug (sp?)
Saying that interest rates wouldn't go up and using dodgy figures from the Reserve Bank (which the Bank said was untrue), to support this.
Sending troops to Iraq for no real reason
Ruining the republic vote which would of gone through if the question which he framed wasn't soooo sh!t.
Saying that there was not going to be a GST and then bringing it in a couple of years later.
Giving a $63 tax cut to people earning over 100k a year when someone on 50k got a measly $6.
And I'm just getting started.......
Hey, I'm not a Labor supporter, but the list of lies from Howard is just getting longer and longer. Just a shame that there's no decent opposition.

Not to mention ripping $1.5 billion out of universities and turning them into business driven entities. This is coupled with a 25% increase in fees and allowing unis to impliment up-front charges.
I work at a university and the people they are passing when they shouldn't is so worrying. The universities have to pass most students because it costs them thousands and thousands of dollars if students drop.
I am so worried about how "dumb" our graduates are becoming.
Give it ten years and we will be so stuffed internationally.

He has also destroyed the Australian idea of a westminster system of parliament. When it works the ministers take responsibility for problems in their area. It was ususally not their direct fault but they take the blame and resign/are removed.
Under Howard this has gone. Now it's "I was not informed", "I cannot recall that" etc. It's just lies after mistruth with the howard government.
The Unis are a joke. I work at one and they are being destroyed at the moment. How we can call ourselves "the clever country" is beyond me. Remember those high income tax cuts last year. They could have used that money to remove all of HECS. We could have made going to University a possibility again for those from lower incomes. But thats somthing Howard cannot understand.

I think all this is happening because Howard, Costello and Nelson didn't get laid at uni. The only person who apparently got some was Abott!!!!
