i watched the game at my local club and there were man united supporters chanting (about 10 of them) in tha middle of tha club. even though i was going for them in this game i thought it was so funny when they lost cause they shut up pretty quickly...... i was then talking to them after the game and i told them about this forum but only 1 of them were interested... y support the euro league if ya aint gonna support the local league? they said it was a f**ked up league cause wollongong didnt get in, well i just told them to get over wollongong not having a team and support sydney fc, but as i said b4 only 1 of them were interested in sydney fc and tha new league!!!

Bloody United we had so many chances to score, and we pretty much ran most of the play during normal time. It's our fault that it went to penalties. A real let down I thought after we played so well in the game. Arse were lucky to get the win, but for a club in turmoil I thought we played better then expected. Anyway I got a lot banter from some people today but I just reminded the them of the last few games United vs Arsenal and that sweet sweet 4-2 victory. Anyway was a good game to watch as usual.

upset to say the least... mortified somewhat i mean shit like this does NOTHING good for the game. i completley understand how those hard core fans are feeling... but i find it hard to get as worked up as they are being over here and all i tried explaining it all to my ma, but its tricky i guess... i just cant see any good at all coming from this. i mean this club means the world to so many people across the globe, its a pity a mans greed has to come in the way dirty something thats so... i dont want to say beautiful, but thats just me being poetic, for a love of football is beautiful i guess! too philosophical today! and true, i dont quite know the pain of relegation

Sadly it stopped being about the football the day MUFC was floated on the UK stock exchange, from that moment on it became a corporation first and a football club second.
The money from the float played a big part in the expansion of Man Utd and in their success, the downside is that anyone with enough money can buy your club or any other public corporation.
There's no sentiment in business, so if you want to blame someone, don't blame Glazer, he's just making business decisions, blame the board who floated the entire club instead of only 49% of it, offering no protection against exaclty what is happening now.

The result was not fair and even the most ardent Arsenal fan would admit they got lucky - but we should won 2-0 or more, RVN has been in shit form for the past six months and how he missed all those chances (esp. the header that hit the bar off Ljungberg, is beyond me) - I say bring back Mark Hughes and Eric Cantona!
