Well he is the personification of bling. All shiny and flash with little actual substance. I really dislike Beckham, he's such a knob-end, shouldn't be allowed to captain a raft, still, he'd be OK crossing the ball in I suppose. I'd have him just for the increased ticket sales, all those teenage girls Spell Checker does not know bling, sad spell checker

I think its a stupid choice finishing such a legendary career in a much inferior league.
Would we ever get him? I doubt it but if we did, I reckon most of our games would be total sell outs.

As much as I dislike him, his footballing abilities are there, and he has that highly marketable aurora about him. You mention to even the most dimwitted person what David Beckham does and they will tell you he is a Footballer. Imagine the gate sales if he were to play for Sydney. Sellout everygame. Although most of the money from ticket prices would go to product for his hair. Unless by the time he winds up his career his hair has fallen out.

God I hope he doesnt come to Sydney. Its hard enough pretending I like Dwight Yorke Matthaus and Klinsmann finished their careers in the USA and Beckham could only dream to have the careers they have had.

Beckham will end up in the MLS, but so what, he's just there to sell jersey's. You don't need him in Australia, we certainly don't want him back in England... He's good, if you want a media frenzy. By the time he's 32-33, he'll have ten kids, no hair left, and no one will care about him.
