I'm looking into the cost of having some t-shirts screenprinted, but I want to get an idea of how much people would be willing to pay, if anything. I'm also trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested since the cost is closely tied to the volume of the order. Assume that the T-Shirt is good quality and the printing is on the front only. Here's the design I'm using as a basis for quotes, it's not in any way intended to be the final design but it does give me a starting point. I used the most popular name in the name poll for the design but it can be anything. Any and all input is welcome.

It wouldve been a good idea for the CWC games but im not sure if there are any other games apart from the a-league pre season thingy, and by that time the jerseys should be out. But in saying that i would still pay $20 for the t-shirt coz i luv merchandise!

Yeah you beat me to it mate. They would have been a top idea for the last few matches and pre-season matches but I for one will be investing in either a jersey or scarf.... or both... The shirt still might be a low cost alternative for those who might not be able to afford the new jerseys though. hmmm

Not everyone wants or will be willing to pay for the replica shirt, and a T-Shirt is useful for places that don't allow sportswear.
And don't forget the cachet attached to having a first-edition Blue Army/Chaos/Bling Bling T-shirt, you'll be the envy of your neighbours, you'll be a veritable walking chick/hunk magnet, you'll get quicker service in pubs and dogs won't try to hump your leg.

Well I paid $10 for the Bolton shirt... So I'd be willing to go to $20 that isn't someone elses shirt with texta scrawled over it!

Great idea, although personally I'd like to see some more/different design happening on it. I'll buy it none the less though.

As I said mate, this is as generic as it gets, I'm all for a unique design but I'm not going to all that effort till I know that enough people are interested.

Do they have to be white? A sea of blue shirts would look more impessive from a distance. Not sure about the text in the antique font. I would be happy with just the logo.
Well done for your initiative.

I'd buy one. I'd prefer just the FC logo on the front, with text on the back, though. Maybe the 'Sydney FC' part on the top at the shoulders and the 'Blue Army' bit down the bottom. I'd definitely buy one though, for sure.

I think the shirt is a great idea (would have been better if we'd had it before our last few games, but doesn't matter).
Just look at how the Marinators have now become well known, with people on Radio, TV and so on talking about them, after they stood out at the Central Coast games. Their yellow shirts were the main reason for that.
This is also a great way to get something blue to those not prepared to pay $100+ for a replica jersey, but who want to support their team.
I do think it should be on a light blue shirt though, and whilst I like the name, "Blue Army", I'd love to see a slogan making reference to the bling on the back (eg. "bringing back the bling" or something). Otherwise, design is excellent.

OK how does this sound...
If we get the right combination of quantity and price, we'll have a competition to design the final t-shirt.
Anyone can enter, and we'll run a cup-tie system to determine what design we use.
Here's a rough guide for costs for a 5 colour front, 1 colour back t-shirt (any colour fabric) based on a couple of quotes.
QTY Cost per Shirt 25 $20 50 $17 100 $15
Chances are we won't be allowed to use the Sydney FC crest or the A-Leage ball, since they are owned by the FFA and not the club itself but we can always ask.
Lead time is about 2 weeks for delivery so there's enough time to sort out everything before the preseason tourney.
As always I'd love to hear everyone elses ideas and comments.

I'll definitely buy one for $15 (size M/L). As long as the design isn't too big. That draft version should have the printing about half as big as that on the shirt, I reckon.

I think the shirts should be blue. Also I think whoever is going to order the shirts should get the $$$ in before you go and purchase them as you will be out of pocket. I reckon the best methods would be to use.
- Send a Post Office Money Order - Direct deposit via internet banking into another bank account. - Personal Cheque. - PayPal: Easy to set up and allows people to pay via credit card to another person.
.....coz i reckon there would be a few tosspots out there who would order a shirt then never fork out for it then you would be lumped with 30 odd shirts.
