well, people should be happy. First there are complaints about it just being the old players of the NSL, then people complain because they go and get a star from another nation to fill a spot. He is not well known, but has a well known name, and it will draw soem extra bums on seats. Im just stoked that after all the years of the NSL, we now have clubs who have the power to woo these kind of players over here

As most people would not have seen the tapes of this young footballer ... i think that with all the reports coming from Mr Crook, Mr Bugno, Mr Sticca... I think that it is safe to say that he is going to start with a big bang for sydney fc and i am reallt looking forward to seeing him play

Might be a good idea to see him play before we get too carried away ;D although, i'm sure he's not a complete donkey.

By coming to SFC he knows he will be living in a city he wanted to.

now im not sure about this guy how could u be sure??? but i would of thouyght an offer around 80k woiuld of been made... seems a little strange to offer so much for an unknown talent. still, they have offered it, so i guess he might be THAT good. if he bags away 15 goals in the season, ill be begging him back for the next season

just got off the phone with a person high up in the Club ... I can tell you that they have not offered Salazar a USdollar contract, only aussie dollars ... and that they are not paying that kind of money to the kid ... that level of pay is only for the very top players ... so i think it is a misquote. I was also told that any figures mentioned for the players include superannuation, travel, bonuses, and the fact that the first year is a 15month contract not a 12 month contract ... meaning this kid is on about 50-60,000
