Well, Crooky is only assistant so I think it's fine. I just hope that whoever is brought in as manager/coach doesn't want to appoint an assistant himself.

yer your right. that will make it hard for them to find a coach cause he would want his own people.
crook was sacked from newcastle so why do we want him

For all those who doubt Ian Crook I say this, he is a proven coach who had a great playing career and with experince second to none and will only bring good methods on and off the park to this new club of ours and I wish him all the best, not a ball has been kicked and already we have people with negative attitudes towards the club, we must stay positive and make this work cause if it doesn't football in this country is finished!

yere thats good but being positive doesnt fix the prblems we have. it only gives us false hopes that the real person who is running our club is frank lowy a guy who is greating the biggest conflict of interest ive ever seen.. along with lou sticca

So you know for a fact that Culina was perfectly willing to accept the role of ASSISTANT coach do you?

Ask any players who have been under Cullina and see what they think of him......... Crook is ideal as an assistant.

Theres nothing wrong with Crook, and he likes to play an attacking style of football.

Firstly you don't even know whether Cullina wants to come to Sydney FC. Secondly you have no way of knowing that he'd be happy playing second fiddle to some star coach from overseas and thirdly, a good coach doesn't necessarily make a good assistant coach. Although set ups are different according to the team, assistant coaches are quite often trainers. Drills, fitness, bollocking the team at half time, that sort of thing. Tactics are quite often left to the big fella with the asistant giving input that could very well be ignored. Think Cullina would put up with that? What a waste of a thread. Anyway, welcome aboard Chippy.

hey DILL do think crook a newcastle united drop kick was the best man for the job. and i think brank o would take the job cause by the time everything is sorted with this big coach. the assistant will run the show. it'll take atleast half a year before this totally new coach gets familerized with the system here and he'll be relying on the assistant to guide him. so its not just drills and warm ups champ. its running the hole team in the first couple months

if i was id be writing in the victory forum It was a joke Einstein, involving your mispelling of the word "whole". Sigh. Jokes are wasted when you have to explain them....
