the comment made about a free Midi of beer that is mentioned on the GGarmy website and in the GGarmy email that went out earlier today is no longer valid. The agreement with totaltravel.com was with the previous owner and therefore does not apply now.
" Note that a local internet site says to "Mention totaltravel.com and get Free midi of beer when watching football" - Note that this IS NOT a GGArmy offer, but if you are there and watching the football, its worth a go."

Sports TAB has Australia at $3.60 with a handicap of 0.5 goal start. Worth a bit on the side just incase they can manage to pull off a draw or better I reckon. Head to head though: Argentina $1.25 Australia $9.00

haha I rocked up to the Aurora after work expecting to see a bunch of pisshead footy fans, instead I get 2 very bored bar staff and one pissed off duty manager. What's everyone's excuse?
In the end it didn't phase me much, I watched the game with the manager, Neville (who paid for my beers ) and some random fella. Now from what Neville was telling me, once the renovations are complete on the Aurora, it's going to have 3 levels. The top will be a beer garden type setting with two projection screens with a capacity of around 300-400.
Apparently he used to manage the Sports Bar at the 'Cross, and had all the Glory boys drink there during the NSL days so he's pretty keen to get the SFC contingent in for a few drinks. I guess that's the best thing about the place, he's a football fan, so he wants us there.

I would've been there on Sunday but I had no money on me. Stupid bank fees! If that's the case about the renovations, I think the Aurora could be a good venue to watch away games. It's in the city, close to transport so we can straggle home and the manager is a football fan. There's some food for thought for that situation.

Yeah, sorry mate. I was one that was bang up for a big one, just never made it into the city.
The team I manage won 7-0 on the Saturday and played their guts out. We were celebrating that for some time. Still ended up having a big one, just never got into the city.
Sorry to have let everyone down. I had all intentions of getting in, but you know how it goes.
Please accept my apologies.
