i think its too late to sack him now he should have been sacked a while back but since theres less then 3 months till the BIG qualifiers i say we gotta keep him after that though once we lose SACK him and if we qualify then sack him after the world cup.

Don't think we should sack him so close to the playoff - however, can't see us making it to Germany, and if so, he should go then. Should we make it to Germany, I'd keep him on, but maybe get someone in to assist him (with a view to taking over perhaps?).
Seriously, what is Graham Arnold offering? If his tactical nous is anything like what he displays on TV, we'd be better off with my football team after a dozen pints.

theres a problem that he doesnt seem to be able to fix.
cant see us getting past the south americans while he's in charge so i think he needs to go straight away.
i really really want to see us qualify past the SA's before we move to asia. might shut alot of people up about not belonging in the WC.

I feel sorry for him. He has (assuming) tried his best. But i don't Graham Arnold has been much help. Maybe if he got a better assistant instead of Arnold he would go somewhere with the team...

I just think it's a bit weird to say that there's no viable options. It's not like there's world-class defenders out that he hasn't picked, I just think the ones we have now (particularly Muscat and Vidmar, and to a certain degree Popovic as well) aren't much different to the ones out there anyway.
Muscat finished up his overseas career at a 2nd tier club, a thug one at that. It was also obvious that he wasn't that pedigree looking at the Germany game, when everyone used short ground passing and he chose to use long passes much more often (and missing) - typical out-of-date long-ball English style. Man, what does he add to the A-league apart from a name.
Vidmar, again, 2nd tier stuff, against the Argies looked entirely out of place. I could not believe it was him who took Popa's spot for the 2nd game. When Dukes came on there were so many situations when Viduka had to come back to our own half to take the ball up - and try to hold the ball, and Vidmar was doing nothing apart from standing too close to provide support. That guy ought to have been dropped at least a year ago (and Farina could probably have given the likes of Bosnar a chance).
Popovic, nothing wrong with what he showed at the tournament, but Farina's point that there's nobody out there doesn't stand up. He's only playing for Palace, a team that got relegated, and alas, he didn't even get to play for months.
Hopefully Farina would got a few phone calls from places like Holland and Norway from players letting him know that they exist. Surely regular first-grade, top-tier football, at admittedly less fashionable leagues, plus youth, would at least rank alongside old dudes who play in the English Championship.
