Remember guys, Australia still has to beat Samoa to make the qualifiers.
The Mariners play Adelaide and Sydney FC play Queensland Roar on the 13th. So if Australia play on the 12th and win, it might give the crowd numbers a bit of a boost.

They might consider postponing certain games if there is a large A-League player contingent receiving call-ups.
Imagine if we win and then we qualify for WC? People would go into a Football Frenzy then Sydney FC might get 40k a game after that. !

I just hope the Sydney public can actually sell out this match. Don't think that will be a problem; you'll still have supporters travelling from interstate to see the game. I know a couple of mates who aren't football fans, but would love to see a World Cup qualifier.

hate to be negative chumps, but I'm preparing myself for the worst, i don't think our side is very reliable or consistent at the moment, we'll have a better idea after the confed cup... I'll still be pullin on da green and gold and shouting and singin my guts out, but i really don't think we're any better prepared or better performing than we have been in previous WCQ campains... it'll be a sad day for football in Australia, but a day that the FFA has already been preparing for, i beleive the FFA have been laying foundations based on the worst possible outcome... and there has to be a reason for that, if the roos can get back to the form that saw us beat England 3-1 that might change things, but on recent performances I'm a bit sceptical....
Farkin great its at Telstra though, that place will be rockin when its packed out!!!

a large amount of marinators will be coming and will join the singing Do you think the mariner and FC fans can sing as one? Be brothers in arms? Be bum-chums for one night only? I guess we dont mind you lads. More of a sister-club than an enemy (like tardistanis). P.S. You are the sister we are the brother btw.

I just hope the Sydney public can actually sell out this match. 40,000 came to a match against NZ at stadium aus for a game that was not advertised or given any media attention. They had to turn people away as there was not enough security for the crowd

of course - it would be pointless to go and sing our own songs that would be counter-productive for the socceroos We have to ensure that for both this match and the solomons match the Socceroos singing contingent is united as one...who gives a fuk if your marinators, cove, bay23boys, green and gold army, fanatics, Victory Union, Uknighted Jets Army...whats important is that we are all in one area to create as much noise as possible. I for one as a Green and Gold Army member and organiser will be pushing to NOT have a Green and Gold Army specific bay, rather 3 or so bays behind the goals allocated as the "Singing area"...there are too many people that hold grudges against the GGArmy and we need to make sure every1 is together.
