there might be a chance that Sydney will be included in the next game as they will be competing in the world club championship but i can't see the whole league being included (why would they want New Zealand Knights or Adelaide United on their game?). maybe someone should go around and make an a-league addon for the PC version.
also i hope they relist the a-league in championship manager. god that game is ultra mega addictive

A-league is in Football Manager 2005!
For those who don't know, the Championship Manager 5 licence is now owned by Eidos, who use a completely different team.
The team who made the original addictive series now makes Football Manager 2005 (2006 has just been announced).
The 2 games seem pretty similar in terms of player stats and match display. But the new Champman is slightly behind the original brew in my opinion, due to some logic cut-back to speed up performance. For example, I started a game (yes I'm such a fan I bought both to compare them) with Kidderminster Harriers, who are in Football League 2, and Champman says (to that effect) "we expect a high league standing and European qualification. Problem here.
My understanding is that whereas FM2005 uses separate software testing conditions (loops and stuff) to decide whether individual messages are displayed, CM5 has just coupled "high league standing" and "euro qualification" in a single message to enhance performance.
Obviously that's just one example.

Problem here. Kidderminster might be aiming to get into Europe via the FA Cup

Champ Manager i think it was used to have the old NSL plus NSW state league teams... i rated it cause i was an attacking midfielder in that game

Woah..cm4 was possibly the worst CM ever. Get your hands on FM ASAP. I wouldn't touch CM, apart from eidos' lack of loyalty, the game is crap - I played for five minutes until I had a '1-0 draw' and could stand no more.

FM 2006 comes out just before the 2006-07 season I'm told...
yeah everyone's picking up on the bugs from the Eidos version eh?
Oh and nope, no Europe for the Vans Cup. I guess technically Kidderminster can win the FA Cup, but I honestly don't believe Eidos had that idea in mind.
